Vuk Stefanović Karadžić (Tršić, October 26 / November 6, 1787 - Vienna, February 7, 1864) was a Serbian philologist, a reformer of the Serbian language, a sniper of folk compositions and a writer of the first dictionary of the Serbian language. Vuk is the most important personality of Serbian books half a century ago.
